You might remember Jessica from Three Region Photography who did an in-home session with Nathan and I over the summer (Staycation Style). Well, here she is again working her magic for our sunrise engagement shoot.
We wanted to go back to Merritt’s Pasture in Chapel Hill where Nathan proposed to take our engagement photos. We wanted to go right at sunrise to get some of that amazing morning light and cloud cover.
It was a perfect choice. We really wanted something a little outside the box for our engagement shoot. A little spooky, a little dark, and Jessica was able to capture that beautifully.

(^ one of my favorites!)
This Forever New Column Maxi Dress in Rose Print was the perfect find for this shoot. It was super breezy (& freezing!) the morning of our photo shoot which gave this dress a perfect dramatic effect. I paired it with a pair of black ankle boots because of both the freezing temperatures and the fact that I knew we would be doing some off-roading. However, I will absolutely be pairing it with a classic pair of black patent leather pumps in the future.
This is the first post of the #WeddingWednesday series coming to The Doctorette! I’m excited to continue sharing our wedding planning experiences with you.
