Some of you might know that I’m training for the Chicago Marathon (see previous post here) in October! While I was out on my run tonight I realized that I should share my current running playlist that is help keeping me motivated, because let’s face it, training for a marathon sucks sometimes, and every little bit helps! I know that there are some fellow runners reading this, and I don’t know about you, but I need music when I workout! Need, need, need it. So, enjoy!
This is actually my third marathon! Yes, third. I know, I’m a masochist. But I’m running for an amazing cause, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), which has made my training process so much more meaningful. Helping a sick child fight their illness takes a big enough emotional toll on a family. Adding a financial strain can make it all almost too much to bear. RMHC can help address those problems, whether they involve housing that’s near a hospitalized child, the expense of staying together in another city, or even getting basic medical and dental care in a vulnerable community. Since 1974, RMHC has been making children happier and healthier by keeping families together during a time when every minute counts.
You too can join RMHC’s network of HOPE, STRENGTH and SUPPORT, by supporting my efforts to raise $1,500 by race day! Your donation, of any amount (even $1) will help children stay close to their families when they need it most! Donate here!
