This Copenhagen-based brand makes spring florals, groundbreaking. Not only is this color palette completely out of the norm for spring but it’s made of the most amazing, light-weight cotton that’s just easy-breezy. Seriously though – it was so windy during this shoot that my jean jacket got picked up by the wind and blown across the street. I can now attest that this dress holds up in 20-25 MPH gusts! One thing that I know I’ve been asked about this dress is the fit. It is a very unique silhouette and reminiscent of an almost Victorian style with the fit of the sleeves. It’s elegant, yet casual. I’ve worn it with both the Vince Mules shown here and also my other favorite casual Nike X Maria Sharapova Le Cortez sneakers. For us shorter ladies, (ps. I’m a little under 5’4) this dress is the perfect length. It won’t drag on the ground if you have flats on, and it flows perfectly with a heel. It’s not very often that I can find a designer dress that I don’t have to hem! Needless to say, if you’re looking for a statement maxi with a unique color scheme and silhouette, definitely check out the Beacon Dress and the other spring pieces by Ganni. Don’t be afraid to step outside of your color comfort zone!
