Hello, March.

It feels like spring in Chapel Hill today and it’s making me beyond excited for warm weather, dresses, and all things pink. Current trends are all about adding pink, feminine touches to our wardrobes this spring. Vogue recently highlighted this powerful & feminine trend as it appeared in abundance on Spring 2017 runways (read it here). Nothing makes me feel more empowered, than wearing a bright, pink dress, a bold lip, and my favorite pair of pumps.

(one of my favorite things to do in this dress in spin ^)

Unfortunately, my dress is no longer in stock (last seen here) but there is no shortage of chic dresses in pink hues this season that I am swooning over. This maxi makes all my feminine boho dreams come true. If you like the peplum style, this blush dress is cute and on sale! This pale pink wrap dress is beautiful & breezy (perfect combo!). Last, but certainly not least, this flirty little number which I have been eyeballing since Valentine’s day (comes in blush pink, black & red) is definitely one of my favorites. Let’s not forget my favorite black pumps (last seen here & here). I can walk in these beauties for hours and not have aching feet at the end of the day. Stylish & comfortable? Winning combo!

Mixed metal earrings from Anthropologie (here – also available in gold and turquoise!)
Makeup: Lipstick – MAC Cosmetics (here); Urban Decay Naked 3 palette (here)

What made this photo shoot so much fun for me was that I got to prance around downtown Gainesville, Florida (for those of you who are unaware of where that it is – it’s a relatively small college town in North Central Florida and home to the University of Florida – my Ph.D. alma mater!) and pose in front of the amazing 352Walls art. 352Walls is an Urban Art Initiative with the mission of bringing diverse culture, increased tourism and aesthetic appreciation to the downtown area (learn more about 352Walls here). In this photo shoot, I posed in front of works by Axel Void (website) and JAZ (website), but they are only two of 26 diverse, talented artists bringing life and vitality to downtown Gainesville. Be sure to check them out!

I’m in love with the pencil dress you posted!!!!

YES. I’m in love too. I don’t wear it nearly enough! I’ve decided that if I pair it with a blazer that it is totally work friendly.
